　　年轻商人库玛·希夫拉姆·克什阴差阳错被结婚三次（死前遗命、损友出卖、黑帮逼迫），娶了三个老婆。为了不穿帮，他把三个不知情的老婆弄到了一栋楼房的四层、六层和八层，把名字拆成了希夫、拉姆和克什来应付她们。更不要命的是，他还有个最爱的女友（女友叫他库玛，幸好名字够长），不娶此女则心有不甘。正在他按计划周旋之际，已经离异多年的父母突然来访要看儿媳妇，这该如何应对？！

 解放前夕，西北某地。连长郑强（吴京安 饰）带领一支孕妇分队经长途跋涉，终于来到盘龙堡。没想到野战医院撤走了，不知丈夫牺牲的潘二嫂（王茜华 饰）此时生产了。误信丈夫当了叛徒的刘雪鸣（剧雪 饰）也生下一个女婴，产后思想压力很大。她抱着刚出生的女儿跳塘，被陈大曼（宋春丽 饰）救起，陈个人经历悲惨，造成脾气性格古怪，对她彼有好感的郑强几次欲表达感情均遭拒绝。在和敌骑兵遭遇战中，郑强牺牲了，临终前他对陈吐露心声，陈痛不欲生。次日，孕妇队高举写有烈士名字的破军装涉水前行，冒着敌炮火强渡泾河，关健时刻，接应的部队到了，而此时的冰姑（博弘 饰）则在战火中生下了自己的儿子......
